If the times are tough, the Maritimes are a blast. Although the skate spots might be sparse, and the humidity might make you sweat through 4 pairs of pants before you land your trick, it’s a great place to be. With friendly people and amazing food, the true Atlantic coast welcomed the DVS and Matix Canadian crew with open arms so I’ll take this time to say thank you. Until next time. For now check out some more photos, but make sure to check back later this week for the first of two video installments of the trip!
Now half way done our trip through the Maritimes, the crew has learn to adapt to the maritime lifestyle. Take it slow and drink lots of water in the extremely muggy weather and eat lobster. They even have a lobster burger at Mcdonalds out here! Here’s a few photos from the guys helping out at the contest on Prince Edward Island. Be sure to check back soon for more…
If your going to be in the Maritimes for Canada day this year, make sure you cross the bridge to the island of PEI to check out the Charlottetown Summer Fest. Russ Milligan, Mike McDermott and Jay Brown from our DVS/Matix team will be there along with Paul Liliani to do a skate demo, as well as help judge a skateboard contest. There’s going to be give aways, music and tons of sweet things to do! Also, check out the layout for the new park that’s going to be opening for this event!
Blue Tile Lounge skate shop held a sweet best trick contest at the Newmarket park late last month. By the looks of it there was tons of kids, tons of helmets and tons of fun! Watch out for our guy Jay Brown flippin the bird and flippin out of some sliders!
On a recent trip to the west coast, Jay Brown and I decided to link up and do some filming. We got some good street skating in and one morning decided to film some stuff at the plaza which has now turned into his profile video. We miss you out here Jay.
Be sure to check out our blip.tv page for quick streaming and easy embedding of our videos!
Matix, DVS and Chocolate rider Jay Brown was recently here in Vancouver for the first time. He had a blast and banged off some tricks during his stay as well as checked out some of Vancouvers fine scenery. I think it was his first time seeing a mountain so he was stoked. Jay is next in line for a profile video so be sure to check back soon!
