I just happened upon some photos of the new park layout in Regina, ready just in time for W2W13 happening this Sunday! Looks like some one turned the good knob up to 11. Now I really want to go!
Girl Skateboards and Matix Clothing are proud to bring you the 13th instalment of Regina’s annual November skateboard extravaganza! This year is shaping up to be even gnarlier than last, and with an all new layout at the Regina indoor. Click the poster to go to the W2W mini site or cruz on over to our featured shop Tiki Room’s website for more info. Hope to see you there!
Regina, once named ”Pile-o-Bones” is home to alot of things, wheat, ice, people who wear watermelons on their heads in -40 degree weather and a pretty amazing skateboard scene. Much like a cult, a good skateboarding scene needs a place of meeting or lodge to talk in secret tongues and cast spells from. In Regina, they have The Tiki Room, headed by the grand manager Noel Wendt. Recently I took the time to ask Noel a few questions, which can be viewed as this month’s Featured Store, hope you all enjoy! Click the picture below to scope…
Noel also asked me to let everyone know that this Friday there will be a fundraser/bake sale/concert for the indoor skateboard park. If your in the area its gonna be a gay old time and its for a good cause, click the poster for more information.
I just wanted to let you all know that we have a new featured shop over there on the right. This month we present Boulevard Skate shop on Vancouver’s eclectic Commercial drive. Located in the eye of the bong store hurricane, Boulevard brings a much needed oasis for skaters in the East End of Vancouver. So next time your in the neighbourhood swing in and say whats up to Kevin Kelly and his gang of pirates, you’ll be happy you did. Click the picture of owner Kevin Kelly to view his shop’s web machine.
This week’s featured product is the latest offering from the Girl Skateboard Company. The second series of one off’s features some of my favourite boards in WR18. I like the Biebel Bad Ass Girl and the Anderson 3D pirate, but you can like which ever one you want. Heck why not collect them all?
There is a tasty little scope-worthy article over on Push.ca featuring our team manager/filmer/babysitter, Mr. Dane Collison. Dane chats with Frank Daniello about extreme sports management, filming with “the boys” and his humble beginnings as a warehouse employee. And don’t worry its totally safe for work, Dane is a good boy and keeps his swears to himself. Good on ya Danger! Click the creepy pic of Dane I found on the internets to read the article…
I heard about this last time I rolled through Saskatoon. After driving around for a bit I still couldn’t find it and abandoned all hope of seeing it ever again. Fast forward to the future (now) and Asif from Momentum totally emails me a link to his blog and… There it is the elusive WTWTA Sound barrier that I never found! Click on the picture to see more.
