Am Getting Paid 2009 was out of control. First off I’d like to congratulate Magnus for taking home the $5000. By now I’m sure the internet has been littered with all types of footage from the contest so here’s some goods from the supra dist. guys as well as a few others. Be on the look out for some footage from the MTL streets!
During the past few weeks the city of Vancouver has been on a mission. New spots being built pre-capped, pieces of ledges being removed to stop skating and welding knobs on rails at so called ‘skate friendly’ spots. Even the destruction of the north van courts which was built by skateboarders. All of this doesn’t make sense to me. If skateboarders build a spot out of the way, or have a ‘skate friendly’ spot that gets capped or destroyed, what are we going to do? Go skate in the streets somewhere else. Keep it up guys

Over the past weekend, RDS Skate Shop threw a block party outside their store in North Vancouver. Besides the course being a little janky and the sun mixing with the free monster and coors light causing seizures, it was a good time. The squad was there to show some love and enjoy the event!
Street skating in Vancouver is not the easiest thing in the world. To anyone who can film a full, legit part in Couver, I give respect. Security, weathered ground, cracks and rain are just a few of the things we have to deal with here on the wet coast. With this being said, every once in a while a motivated crew comes along. We’ve all seen footage of ghetto spot and whiterock reservoir. Skater built spots for all to enjoy bust free skating. The North Van ledge spot is the newest addition to these spots and I think I speak for all when I say that it is nothing less than great. Just be sure to say hi to the locals when you get there because those things your grinding on were payed for and built by those people you see! This is just another day at the North van ledges
How many times can you run a plaza montage? Doesn’t it ever get old? Aren’t you sick enough of skating there, let along watching it on video? No. If your asking yourself these questions you should probably pack yourself a lunch and go for a skate park picnic with your mom.

As anyone living in the Vancouver area knows, summer has arrived. This heat wave we’ve had over the past few has been amazing! Along with summer arriving comes skateboarding. The guys have been working hard, pushing through the heat and taking care of business. Heres a sneak peak into just another day with the supra bros!
Joey Williams, Ian Twa, Bryan Wherry and myself got together last week for just another day of skating. If you had a chance to read my last post “skateboardings a hell of a drug,” you would know what this day was all about. Get these three guys together on a nice day at a good spot, throw a crack addict getting busted in the background and you get yourself a sweet video.

On a recent Just another day film mission to the skater enhanced spot at Main and Terminal skytrain station, we came across a situation that most Vancouver skateboards have to deal with, or have dealt with. This problem, (or sometimes comedic scenario) is of course the massive drug problem in the lower east side of downtown.
In this particular event, we had a wondering, and very drug induced man preaching about raising the peace while calling us white devils at the same time. The police were soon to notice this guy and came quick to analyze the situation. He claimed he was clean and had nothing on him, but fact of the matter was he had a big zip lock baggy full of shrooms and a bunch of little baggies of that deadly white rock! I guess he forgot about all those goods. The bust and arrest ended up taking place right at the landing of the bench we were skating. Below are a few screen grabs from the session and if you look close enough you’ll see the RCMP and our peace keeping friend in the background!
