The lakers are trying to push past the Suns tonight for a spot in the NBA finals. Personally I think the Celtics are going to take it all but the Lakers definitely have the crazier fans. Not sure if this is real but it is real funny.

Starting tomorrow Color Magazine will be hitting the road with a superstar team of artist that include Michael Leon (Commonwealth Stacks) and Eric Anthony (Fourstar, Girl) for a traveling art show across the USA with stops in L.A, Kansas City and Austin TX.

The Color crew and the artist will be camping, skating and on hand at each show giving everyone a chance to meet the people behind what they wear and skate. If you are lucky enough to be in one of these cities I would not miss the opportunity to meet and chat with the artist as shows of this magnitude rarely ever happen.

On Saturday, June 19th come to Strathcona skateboard part to watch Underworld and Coastal Riders, two of Vancouver’s finest skateboard shops battle it out in a classic game of S.K.A.T.E. This is a charity event to raise money for the Skate Life scholarship program. This program helps kids get who can’t afford to get to skate camp make it to camp. There will be a free park jam with free prizes that’s open to all abilities and skill levels. Hope to see you there!

In support of the Cadence X DVS shoe shipping this July, DVS and Cadence have partnered up on a global racing event designed to bring out the world’s strongest cyclists. With 12 major race events held in 12 major cities around the world, Fast Forward is designed to draw the global cycling community together and shed light on some of the best underground riders. Winners from each race will have the opportunity to compete in the prestigious final race, Fast Friday in San Francisco. To help promote the event, DVS has created a web site highlighting the details and sponsor information for each global race.

Evan Hecox has a very distinct style to his art work, his attention to detail and ability to capture a moment has always set him apart from other artist. We all love the board graphics he has done for Chocolate in the past. Watch this video to get a little glimpse into where he gets his ideas from as he make a few laptop cases for Incase.

….according to the MoneySense magazine rankings of best places to live in Canada. Burnaby ranked 137 out of 179 cities surveyed. Tons of rain, lazy residents, low average income, etc. Good thing Supra is on the border and technically in Vancouver. Bummer for Steve though, he lives in Burnaby. Sorry Stever.
