The Quiet Life Ping Pong Night

If you’re in Vancouver next Thursday, Sept 9 and you think you can whip some ass in ping pong then you should come down to the Terracotta Modern Chinese Restaurant for the first ever Quiet Life Ping Pong tournament!!

The tournament will start at 8:00pm sharp and you need to pre-register by sending your name and phone # to contest(at)supradistribution.com. There will be prizes awarded throughout the night with a grand prize to the person who takes it all!!!

The ping pong tables will be set up all night so even if you’re not in a competitive mood you can still come down a play.

DVS/Mountain High Season Pass Party

The DVS & Mountain High season pass party went down this past weekend and Snowboarder magazine has a bunch of photos. It looked like it was a fun event. Thet hauled in about 25 tons of snow just for the set up!!! And there was free Wahoo’s lunch. Not bad.

Getting Nordical

This past month, Lakai’s getting Nordical Tour reigned havoc on streets and parks all over the Scandinavian countries. In attendance was Vincent Alvarez, Raven Tershy, JB Gillet, Jesus Fernandez and Danny Brady. The tour wrapped up just in time for everyone to take a breath and head back out on the Lakai Voltage tour that is going on as you’re reading this post. Boulevard’s Battle at Hastings

The much anticipated “Battle at Hastings” contest happened this past Saturday and it looks like it was amazing!! All the local bowl shredders showed up to grab a piece of the $2000 prize purse.

I unfortunately wasn’t able to make it (i’m bummed) but our man on the street Mitch Francis was there with photographer/friend Matt Macleod to get in on the action and take some photos.

Here’s how the expert category broke down:

1. Riley Boland – $800
2a. Sluggo – $300
2b. Adam Hopkins -$300
3a. Chris Connolly – $100
3b. Frontside Kid – $100

(the scores were so close they had two ties!)

DVS IN-TENTS ITY!!

Dylan Doubt from Color Magazine started off his recent blog post by saying, “i think we are all looking forward to our own beds and hot water.” After 9 days of camping I can only imagine how bad a good nights sleep and showers are needed. By the looks of the photos this tour has been a special one. I can’t wait to see the video.

Skate Contests Tomorrow

There are a couple big contests happening tomorrow. Luck for all of you, they’re on opposite sides of the country so you don’t really need to choose which one to go to….unless you have a private jet.

This Saturday at the Hastings Bowl skatepark in Vancouver, BC in the “Battle at Hastings” contest which is offering up over $4000 in cash and prizes. Big weekend coming up!

This weekend we got a couple of great contest going down in Vancouver. First up on Saturday August 28th our friends over at BLVD skate shop are hosting the Battle At Hastings. This is going to be an insane day with lots of bowl shredding going down. Lots of prizes up for grabs and DJ Vinyl Ritchie spinning jams all day.

Then to follow up on Sunday August 29th the good people over at RDS Skate Supply are back at it again with their annual Block Party in front of the shop. A best Trick contest with a BBQ and a special guest performance from Moka Only and Def 3. You will be shunned by all if you miss this one.
